HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OPTIONS

APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION

Locklin Technical College (LTC) provides Career and Technical Education (CTE) Training to eligible Santa Rosa County School District (SRCSD) students.  If space is available, students have the opportunity to enroll in the secondary or post-secondary (Dual Enrollment) CTE programs and earn valuable industry certifications.  Students may attend LTC during periods 1 -3 or 4-6 and may earn up to 3 credits per year. Transportation to and from LTC will be provided within the established transportation system routes and boundaries.  Materials and supplies will be provided with the option of purchasing your own materials and supplies.

SECONDARY

Eligible SRCSD students may apply to a secondary (high school) program of study.  Students earn high school credits toward high school completion and/or a career certificate.  Some secondary programs offer honors courses. To find out more information, please contact LTC Student Services office.

DUAL ENROLLMENT

Eligible SRCSD students may apply to a dual enrollment (Post-secondary) program of study. Students earn weighted (honors) high school credits toward high school completion and/or a career certificate. To find out more information, please contact LTC Student Services office.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for any program, students must be entering the 11th or 12th grade, have at least a minimum 2.0 unweighted GPA, be on track for high school graduation, and meet the basic skills requirement for the program of interest.  Complete eligibility requirements for Locklin Technical College Programs of Study can be found in the Santa Rosa County School District Student Progression Plan.  Additionally, students projected to graduate from high school before the scheduled completion date of a post-secondary course may not register for that course through Dual Enrollment.
