The Workforce Innovations & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program is a federal funded grant provided in collaboration with CareerSource Escarosa and Santa Rosa County School District.  The District’s vision for the WIOA Youth Program includes introducing youth to the world of work while emphasizing the value of education and lifelong learning.  WIOA Youth of Santa Rosa County is designed to assist youth ages 14-24 who face a barrier to education and/or employment to reach their maximum potential.

By partnering with local businesses, WIOA offers the opportunity for students to gain on-the-job experience while earning an income.  WIOA also uses grant funding to provide student incentives for completing trainings, achieving academic progress, meeting work and educational milestones, tuition assistance and other supportive services.

Our Career Pathways Program has trained Career Specialists who will provide students with individualized counseling and supportive services to identify and attain their academic and career goals. Students enrolled have the opportunity to advance to higher levels of education and employment. Programs offered have been developed and implemented in collaboration with partners in business, workforce development, and economic development to best meet the needs of both students and the business community.
