Practical Nursing Application
The Practical Nursing program application period is now closed for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants will be notified via email regarding their status after July 21, 2024.
Practical Nursing - 1350 hours
This program is designed to prepare adult students for employment as licensed practical nurses and is approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing. Upon completion of the program, the graduate may apply to take the examination to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Students can also apply to take the Certified Nursing Assistant exam after completing the first 165 hours of the program. The course will be taught in three semesters. This program has additional admission requirements which are outlined in the application packet. Industry Certification/State Licensure
Students are eligible to apply and take the Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses after successful completion of an approved program.
Employers for clinical practicum experiences for the Practical Nursing students require no felony convictions. Adult students must obtain a report from FDLE, http://www.fdle.state.fl.us, and present a report at the time of application. Drug testing is also required at application at throughout the program.
